Cleanup Planned for Park, Neighborhood
Volunteers will clean up Canyon Park and the Joann-Maple streets neighborhood at this year’s Neighbors for Neighbors event.
At the park on Arbor Street, residents, merchants and city officials plan to remove litter, debris and weeds. They also will plant native shrubs and trees and add ground covering.
In the Joann-Maple area, volunteers will paint over graffiti, pull weeds, pick up litter and haul away unwanted items.
The city’s Community Services Department, the Orange County Fairgrounds and the California Assn. of Nurserymen are among the sponsors. The goal is to improve parks and other areas selected by the department and City Council.
About 200 volunteers are needed for the April 25 projects. Information: (714) 754-5140.
