IRVINE — Nona Morelli’s II Inc. said it will change its name to NuOasis Resorts Inc. and reincorporate in Nevada. The company said the name change and the reincorporation, which are expected to take place in the next 10 days, were approved at a special shareholders’ meeting Jan. 6.
Nona Morelli’s II is a leisure and entertainment holding company with operations and development activities in casino gaming, food-manufacturing and commercial real estate.
At the Jan. 6 meeting, Nona Morelli’s II chairman and chief executive, Fred Luke, said the company’s primary businesses are now casino gaming and resort management. Its historical food and real estate businesses will soon be spun off, Luke said.
Luke also said Nona Morelli’s II will continue to develop its themed-resort, Las Vegas-style casino franchises, Cleopatra Palace and NuOasis Resorts. He also said the company will seek to acquire additional properties in its core leisure and entertainment business.
