Business Group Names Collins as President

City Councilman John J. Collins was recently named president and chairman of the Business Opportunity Council of California.
Collins began serving on the board in 1989 and was appointed president last week. The Los Angeles-based organization educates members on how to negotiate the purchase and sale of businesses.
As president of Pioneer Business Corp. in Huntington Beach, Collins is a certified business opportunity appraiser and business intermediary.
Collins was elected to the City Council in 1990 and has been mayor twice.
