Laguna Hills and Laguna Beach, each off to its best start in several seasons, will meet in a key Pacific Coast League game at 7 p.m. Friday at Laguna Beach. Also Friday, Servite, the defending Golden West League champion, plays at fourth-ranked Tustin and Los Alamitos travels to Marina for a Sunset League game.
Mater Dei, ranked No. 7 in the county, and sixth-ranked Canyon are two of the 16 teams participating in the fourth Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday Challenge Monday at UCLA’s Pauley Pavilion. Tipoff for the Monarch-Comanche game is 11 a.m.
