The fact that Brenda Spencer, convicted of two counts of murder and sentenced to 25 years to life, is even eligible for parole after 18 years is a miscarriage of justice (Jan. 21).
If the lawmakers who established the rules could get their math straight, it would go a long way to reestablish confidence in our justice system.
