Three of the county’s all-time record-setters are among the seniors who will compete Wednesday in the North-South All-Star softball game at Brea.
The Southern Section’s all-time hit leader, Mater Dei’s Kelsey Kollen, leads the South squad coached by Foothill’s Joe Gonzalez. The section’s home run leader, Brea Olinda’s Geney Orris, leads a North team directed by La Habra’s Sue Briquelet.
Orange County’s all-time winningest pitcher, Woodbridge’s Christy Robitaille, also will play for the South. Pacifica pitcher Amanda Freed and La Habra catcher Jenny Topping will not be participating because of commitments to compete in the national team festival in Texas.
