Corona 6, Riverside Poly 1--Dustin Wagoner pitched a five-hitter, struck out eight and did not allow a run until the sixth inning to lead the Panthers (20-7) to the Division II title.
Wagoner (11-1), who also hit a solo home run to start the Corona scoring in the first, was perfect until Mike Van Daele doubled with one out in the fourth.
Jesse Hunt had three hits, including a solo home run, and drove in two runs for Corona. Jason Sur had two hits and two RBIs.
Van Daele had two hits for Riverside Poly (22-7).
