All-Star Matchup to Feature Hurlers

Top Marmonte League pitchers will square off again Tuesday in the sixth Ventura County Coaches’ Assn. North-South senior all-star softball game at Borchard Park in Newbury Park at 6 p.m.

The North features Camarillo High’s four-year starter Cindy Ball, who had a 12-1 record and helped lead the Scorpions to the Southern Section Division I semifinals.

Simi Valley’s Lori Tande and Agoura’s Jennifer Grennan lead the South.

There will be a home run-hitting contest at 5 p.m.

Moorpark’s Tom Humphries and Cornerstone Christian’s Mike Monzo will coach the North. Agoura’s Pat Grennan and Royal’s Andy Silva will guide the South.

Admission is free.
