City Council to Consider Construction Proposals

Plans to build a shopping center, houses and a commercial building will be considered today by the City Council.
Ernie Park is proposing a new shopping center at his mostly vacant commercial property at 1740 to 1820 W. Whittier Blvd. and 800 to 870 N. Beach Blvd. PLC Land Co., based in Newport Beach, is proposing to build 102 new homes in La Habra Hills on the southern edge of town.
And, Chevron Products Co. of La Habra wants to expand its gas and automotive service station at 1950 W. Imperial Highway. The expansion would include a convenience store and a car wash.
The projects will be discussed at separate public hearings at City Hall, 201 E. La Habra Blvd., beginning at 7 p.m.
