A construction worker was airlifted to a hospital Wednesday after falling from a building, Orange County Fire Authority officials said.
The man, whose identity was not released, was working at a construction site at Wood Canyon Drive and Las Flores in Aliso Viejo at 2:30 p.m. when he lost his footing and fell two stories onto concrete, Fire Authority Captain Scott Brown said.
Because of the potential for injuries to the man’s neck and back, he was secured on a board and transported by air ambulance to Mission Hospital Regional Medical Center in Mission Viejo, Brown said. At the time he was airlifted, the man had a lack of sensation from the shoulder blade down, he said.
The man remained in serious condition Wednesday night, officials said.
