Man Pleads Guilty in 2-Hour Freeway Chase

A North Long Beach man who led authorities on a two-hour freeway chase in February pleaded guilty Wednesday to seven felony counts, including carjacking.
Pete Petelo Tauveve Jr., 27, pleaded guilty to all the counts brought against him, according to a district attorney’s spokeswoman.
Tauveve, who will be sentenced July 20 in Norwalk Superior Court, faces a maximum penalty of four years in state prison and a $10,000 fine.
He pleaded guilty to one count each of carjacking and evading arrest and five counts of assault with a deadly weapon, according to the district attorney’s office.
