Newhall Saugus-Hart Rolls 7 on Calabasas

Tim Hutting’s two-run triple highlighted a seven-run first inning and Newhall Saugus-Hart defeated Calabasas, 13-6, in a District 20 American Legion baseball game Saturday at Calabasas High.
Hutting had four hits. Mike Granger and Travis Richardson each had three hits for Newhall Saugus-Hart (10-1).
Jamie Shields (4-1) of Newhall Saugus-Hart struck out seven and allowed four hits in five innings.
John Voita had three hits and drove in three runs for Calabasas (7-4).
North Hollywood Poly 6, Granada Hills 4--Alberto Flores had three hits, including two doubles, and three RBIs for North Hollywood Poly (8-2) in a District 20 game at Granada Hills.
Angel Espindola (1-0) gave up two hits and two walks in 4 2/3 innings of relief for North Hollywood Poly.
Jon Bringuier homered to highlight a four-run third inning for Granada Hills (4-3).
Ventura 6-3, Oxnard 0-4--David Schoonmaker’s run-scoring single in the seventh capped a four-run rally for Oxnard (3-7) in the second game of a District 16 doubleheader at St. Bonaventure High.
Schoonmaker (2-1) allowed five hits and two earned runs in six innings. He had no strikeouts and five walks.
Mike Serrata’s two-run single tied the game, 3-3, before Schoonmaker delivered.
Ventura won the first game on a four-hitter by Don Fuller, who struck out six and walked two.
Agoura 7-9, Newbury Park 0-10--David Turner pitched a four-hitter with 12 strikeouts for Agoura in the first game of a District 16 doubleheader at Agoura.
David Johnson had three hits and four RBIs in the two games, including a home run in the second game. Nick Hillman also had three hits and four RBIs.
In the second game, Ryan Ayers of Newbury Park had three hits, including a three-run homer in the second inning, and five RBIs.
North Hollywood 8-3, Encino-Crespi 5--12--Mike Jackson had three hits, including a bases-loaded triple, and drove in five runs for Encino-Crespi in the second game of a District 20 doubleheader at Valley College.
Jimmy Hock had four hits for Encino-Crespi (10-1).
James Adkins scattered eight hits for Encino-Crespi.
In the first game, North Hollywood (2-7) scored three runs in the fourth to take a 5-2 lead.
Lancaster 6, Van Nuys Grant 5--John Brown singled home the winning run for Lancaster (7-3) with two out in the ninth inning.
Felipe Tetelboin had two hits and four RBIs for Van Nuys Grant (2-8).
Van Nuys Birmingham 6, North Hollywood Harvard-Westlake 3--Billy McGrath struck out nine and walked two while pitching a seven-hitter for Van Nuys Birmingham in a District 20 game at Franklin Field.
Art Garcia hit a two-run single for Van Nuys Birmingham (7-4).
Panorama City 5, Saugus 3--Vince Madelon (1-1) of Panorama City allowed two hits in three scoreless innings of relief in a District 20 game at Saugus High.
John Andrade hit a run-scoring single to give Panorama City (4-5) a 4-3 lead in the sixth.
