Salvation Army Honors Benefactors

The Salvation Army Orange County recently honored several residents during its annual Celebration of Service and Civic Awards.
Rep. Christopher Cox (R-Newport Beach) received the Others Award, a commendation for helping Orange County residents through his legislative leadership, officials said.
Gary L. Granville, the elected Orange County clerk-recorder, and his wife, Joanne, of Orange received the William Booth Award for outstanding service to the Salvation Army.
Linda Groth of Costa Mesa was named Volunteer of the Year.
Metropolitan Life Insurance received the Spirit of the Army Award for supplying a warehouse for use during the Christmas donation drive.
