Two suspects surrendered in the weekend homicide of a woman identified Monday as 21-year-old Adaia Mendoza of Orange, officials said.
The suspects, whose names are being withheld by investigators, turned themselves in at the Westminster Police Department Monday and are both being held at the Orange County Jail in lieu of $250,000 bail.
Mendoza’s body, fully clothed, was spotted on the edge of a cliff off Silverado Canyon Road about 11 a.m. Sunday by a passing motorist, according to sheriff’s spokesman Lt. Tom Garner.
Authorities have declined to discuss a possible motive or other details, except to say that an autopsy indicated that Mendoza was the victim of a homicide.
