Klain Sparks Chatsworth

The Chatsworth High girls’ soccer team continued its march toward its eighth City Section title in 10 years with a 2-0 victory over Granada Hills on Tuesday in a 4-A Division semifinal at Chatsworth.

Katie Klain scored a first-half goal off an assist from Beezy Preis. In the second half, Jackie Fodor scored off an assist from Klain.

Chatsworth (23-1-1) meets San Pedro in the final on Saturday at 4 p.m. at East Los Angeles College.

Westchester 2, Kennedy 1--Kennedy’s Jennifer Bernson had an up-and-down day for the Golden Cougars, scoring their goal in the 15th minute before clearing the ball into her own net in the second half to help visiting Westchester to the 3-A Division semifinal victory.
