Bo Bryant
Fullerton, Sophomore
Baseball
Bryant, an outfielder from Esperanza High, was the top hitter for the Hornets last season and is in position to do it again this season. He batted .388 last season and started this week with a .396 average. Bryant was six for 11, including hitting two home runs, as Fullerton won two of three games last week. He scored three runs and drove in two Saturday in an 8-7 victory over Golden West.
Basketball
Jehovany Barraza
* Santa Ana, freshman. He scored a season-high 18 points and got six rebounds as the Dons beat Cerro Coso, 78-57, in a playoff game Saturday.
Tara Kroener
Saddleback, freshman
Softball
Kroener, from Chaffey High, pitches and plays shortstop, and she is outstanding at both positions. In four games for the Gauchos, she was nine for 15, scored five runs and drove in five. As a pitcher, she was 3-0 with victories over Irvine Valley, Glendale and Riverside. She pitched 14 innings in the three games, allowing four hits and one earned run and she struck out 13.
Softball
Michelle Harrison
* Fullerton, sophomore. She pitched a no-hitter and two one-hitters as Fullerton finished third in the Bakersfield tournament.
