Gang Member Dies in Parking Lot Shootout

A brief shootout between rival gang members outside a restaurant on Bolsa Avenue left one of the gunmen dead early Friday, police said.
The victim, identified only as an Asian male in his early 20s, died at the scene in the parking lot of Dong Khanh restaurant shortly after 2 a.m.
Detectives questioned several possible witnesses, but it was not immediately clear what prompted the fight, Westminster Police Lt. Bill Lewis said.
“A group of young men apparently got into an argument inside the restaurant, and it escalated when they went outside to the parking lot,” Lewis said. “About five rounds were fired.”
It was the second shooting of the week at the restaurant, which police said is a late-night “post-party hangout” for young adults.
No arrest had been made late Friday, Lewis said.
