Douglass to Stay at UC Irvine

Pat Douglass, UC Irvine men’s basketball coach, will remain the Anteaters’ coach, school official announced Friday.

San Jose State officials had been granted permission to talk with Douglass this week. A source said Douglass spoke with school officials about the job, but chose to remain at Irvine. He just completed the first season of his five-year contract. The Anteaters, 1-25 a year ago, finished 9-18 this season.
