The Costa Mesa Police Department’s special events unit will set up a driver’s license and vehicle registration checkpoint from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.
The checkpoint will be on eastbound Baker Street, east of Mendoza Drive. Police said they hope to increase public awareness and promote public safety by deterring people from driving without a license and registration.
