7 TONIGHT WESTMINSTER HIGH
If the Vikings are to make the playoffs they will have do it the hard way, needing victories against Esperanza tonight and No. 1 Los Alamitos next week. They also will have to step up their level of play after being humbled, 34-13, by Huntington Beach last Friday. “The last two weeks have been error-filled and sloppy,” Viking Coach Mark Rehling said. “When you play Sunset League teams and you’re sloppy, you look bad.” The Aztecs, behind Jarod Schuster’s running and Grant Wagner’s passing, are hard to defend. Marina needs to smooth out an erratic passing attack to complement its running game.
KEY PLAYERS Esperanza
