Carl Karcher, founder of Anaheim-based Carl’s Jr. restaurants, will be honored today with a street named after him.
The City Council said it has agreed to rename a portion of what is now Romneya Drive to Carl Karcher Way, citing Karcher’s dedication and service to the community. Karcher, 81, a longtime Anaheim resident, opened his first restaurant in 1945.
