OMAHA, Neb. — Heard the one about a woman who walked into a bar and said she had a parrot for sale?
Omaha police have--and it led them to a suspected burglar.
Jack Johnson told police he was at a neighborhood bar Tuesday night when a woman walked in with a parrot she was attempting to sell for $25.
Johnson looked at the African goldwing bird and remarked that he had one just like it.
When Johnson went home that night, he discovered his residence had been broken into and his parrot was gone. He told police he went back to the bar and the woman was still there.
An investigation led police to a 22-year-old man implicated in three overnight break-ins.
