Re “750 Lutheran Youths Leave Ventura a Nicer Place,” Nov. 22.
I was happy to see the Lutheran teens sprucing up the Ventura Pier and promenade on Saturday but gasped out loud when I saw them painting sky blue the lovely natural benches that line the promenade.
The paint will not hold up well at the beach, as most Venturans are well aware. They will become an eyesore requiring more and more painting and upkeep.
Who OKd these young people to paint them?
