Apparel Label Maker RVL Acquires New Jersey Firm

RVL Inc. of Westlake Village, a supplier of apparel product identification, has completed the acquisition of F.G. Montabert Co. and its Asian subsidiary, UPDL.
The terms of the agreement were not disclosed. F.G. Montabert, based in Midland Park, N.J., had sales of $34 million in 1998.
“F.G. Montabert has been a cornerstone in the domestic woven label industry for the past 100 years, and we look forward to merging our operations both in the U.S. and the Far East,” said RVL President Robert V. Lyle.
RVL provides identification products to apparel manufacturers and retailers for their private label programs. The company’s products include woven labels, printed labels, hang tags, leather patches and heat transfers.
