Pacific Symphony music director Carl St.Clair has decided to conduct the orchestra Aug. 28 at Irvine Meadows Amphitheatre, after all.
Last week the orchestra announced he would withdraw from the assignment because he is in mourning for his 18-month-old son, Cole, who drowned in a pool at a neighbor’s home July 26.
The Aug. 28 program, which will include works by John Williams and Peter Maxwell Davies, will be dedicated to Cole St.Clair, an orchestra spokeswoman said.
