Chaminade 46, Notre Dame 45--Scott Borchart made two free throws with less than 15 seconds remaining to give the Eagles, ranked No. 2 in the region by The Times, a come-from-behind victory in a Mission League game at Chaminade.
When Dante Ward of Notre Dame missed a 15-foot jumper in the final seconds, Cayce Cook grabbed the rebound to secure the victory. Ward had 15 points.
Chaminade (19-3, 8-1) trailed by six points in the third quarter.
Cody Pearson, who scored 17 points, converted a three-point play to give Notre Dame (8-16, 2-8) a 45-44 lead seconds before a foul underneath sent Borchart, who had 15 points and 13 rebounds, to the free-throw line.
Alemany 57, St. Francis 46--Devin Montgomery collected 18 points, 11 assists and 10 rebounds while Bryson Atkins had 10 points and 10 steals for the No. 4 Indians (15-6, 8-2) in a Mission League victory at St. Francis.
Simi Valley 81, Westlake 31--The Pioneers made all 16 of their free throws and built a 41-20 halftime lead in a Marmonte League game at Simi Valley.
Rafael Berumen scored 31 points, Branduinn Fullove had 18 and Brett Michel added 16 for Simi Valley (22-2, 9-0), ranked No. 1.
Jake DeGennaro had 12 points for the Warriors (10-12, 3-5), who did not shoot a free throw.
Newbury Park 67, Moorpark 61--Jesse Roche scored 17 points and the Panthers (15-5, 7-2) won a Marmonte League game at Moorpark.
Shawn Corkrey scored 23 points for Moorpark (11-12, 2-7).
Kennedy 51, Taft 47--Nana Gbewonyo had 23 points and 12 rebounds, and the Golden Cougars halted a two-game losing streak in a West Valley League game at Kennedy (13-7, 5-2).
Poly 58, Monroe 45--James Word scored 16 of his 23 points in the second half, and the Parrots (12-9, 6-1) kept the Mid-Valley League lead with a victory at Poly.
Robert Palafox had 16 points and six steals for the Vikings (10-12, 4-3).
Granada Hills 68, Birmingham 63--Alonzo Parks scored eight of his 18 points in the second overtime and the Highlanders (3-17, 1-6) won a North Valley League game at Granada Hills.
Darol Taylor scored 32 points for Birmingham (3-18, 0-7).
Oxnard 69, Rio Mesa 38--Jacob Galloway and Damian Tafoya each scored 11 points and the No. 9 Yellowjackets (17-6, 6-0) won a Pacific View League game at Rio Mesa.
St. Bonaventure 44, Oak Park 35--Jason and Brandon Duplessie combined for 28 points for the Seraphs (16-5, 4-2) in a Tri-Valley League victory at Oak Park.
