IHOP Reports Slight Drop in January Sales
- Share via
IHOP Corp. of Glendale announced last week that same-store sales for January were down 6.8% compared to January 1998.
The January sales would have decreased by only 2.2% if the impact of sales over the New Year’s holiday weekend were included, as they were last year, the company said. But the fiscal month this year did not begin until Jan. 4.
IHOP (Nasdaq: IHOP), which franchises and operates International House of Pancakes restaurants, has about 819 restaurants in 37 states, Canada and Japan.
