* What: The 39th Los Angeles Invitational indoor track and field meet, which will feature world-class competitors, collegiate standouts and nearly 2,000 high school athletes.
* When: Saturday. High school events start at 11 a.m.; invitational portion at 5:15 p.m.
* Where: Sports Arena

* Note: Boys’ and girls’ shotput and discus events begin at 9 a.m. at USC.
