Oxnard 82, Irvine 71--Damian Tafoya scored 25 points and Matthew Merricks added 24 for the No. 8-ranked Yellowjackets at Oxnard.
Tafoya had 11 points in the third quarter and Merricks scored 11 in the second quarter. Tafoya had six three-point baskets and Merricks made four.
The Yellowjackets (21-6) took a 21-4 lead with two minutes remaining in the first quarter. Oxnard has seven consecutive victories and has won 13 of its last 14 games.
Long Beach Jordan 89, Channnel Islands 57--Dwight Sattiewhite scored 19 points for Channel Islands, which couldn’t recover from an 18-point halftime deficit at Long Beach Jordan.
Channel Islands (11-14) trailed, 22-16, after the first quarter and was outscored by the No. 4-seeded Panthers, 24-12, in the second quarter.
DIVISION I-A
Santa Barbara 68, Hueneme 54--Carlos Bailey had 15 points and Johnie Williams added 13 points and seven rebounds, but the visiting Vikings (11-13) couldn’t overcome a 26-9 first-quarter deficit at Santa Barbara.
Ventura 60, Mira Costa 57--Jeff Staniland had 29 points to lead the visiting Cougars (17-10) past Mira Costa (18-9).
DIVISION II-AA
Dominguez 98, Westlake 46--Jake DeGennaro scored 22 points for visiting Westlake (11-16), which was overmatched by the nation’s No. 9-ranked team at Dominguez.
Center Tyson Chandler, a 7-foot sophomore, had nine dunks and scored 19 points for top-seeded Dominguez (24-3).
Paso Robles 61, Burroughs 54--Kevin Krose had 20 points and 10 rebounds and Brian Lee added 18 points for host Burroughs, but the Foothill League co-champions failed to recover from a 30-16 halftime deficit.
DIVISION II-A
Lompoc 77, Newbury Park 73--Anthony Foli hit a three-point shot for Newbury Park to send the game into overtime, but Lompoc scored the first four points in the extra period and the Panthers (19-6) couldn’t catch up.
Newbury Park had five players who scored in double figures, including a team-high 16 by Will Svitek, but Lompoc converted 26 of 35 free throws while Newbury Park was five of nine from the line.
DIVISION III-A
Harvard-Westlake 80, Morningside 66--Todd Kurihara had 16 of his 18 points in the second half as Harvard-Westlake beat visiting Morningside.
Russell Lakey contributed 17 points and had 12 assists. Lakey also made two of his five three-point attempts. Harvard-Westlake had 11 three-pointers.
Nordhoff 62, Northview 56--Etienne Emanuel scored baskets as time expired to tie the score in regulation and the first overtime, and then had an assist and a three-pointer in the second overtime for Nordhoff.
DIVISION IV-AA
Crespi 71, Duarte 52--Blake Tibbetts had eight points and Pat Dornan scored five in the third quarter, when the Celts (18-8) stretched a three-point lead to 16 points at Duarte.
