At the request of police and code enforcement officials, the Planning Commission voted this week to revoke the conditional use permit of the Seville Inn at 2748 W. Lincoln Ave.
Police said they have received a large number of calls for various offenses at the hotel, including theft, rape, drugs and spousal abuse. Code enforcement officials also said the building’s condition was deteriorating and had structural problems.
On Tuesday, the City Council will consider whether to approve the planning commission’s action. The owners of the hotel have until Nov. 30 to appeal the decision and request a public hearing.
