A spurned suitor killed himself a day after fatally shooting six members of a Turkish family in the northern German city of Bielefeld. The man shot himself in the head after leading police on a chase, authorities said. Police said the gunman, a 34-year-old Turk identified only as Mehmet K., shot three women and three men in their apartment Tuesday night, apparently after the family turned down his request to marry one of the women. Mehmet K., a married father of four who worked as a Muslim religion teacher and prayer leader, had lost his position in a mosque after his affair with the woman, 19, became known, prosecutor Klaus Metzler said. The woman was killed along with her father, 61, and four other relatives.
