There is plenty at stake in the final night of Sunset League play. Three teams still have a shot at the league title and the winner of this one will get at least a share. Los Alamitos is the defending champion. Marina hasn’t won a league title since 1986. The Griffins’ offense can strike through the air or on the ground. Their defense, solid for most of the season, will have its hands full with Ray Mietkiewicz. A loss by Los Alamitos could result in a complicated three-way tiebreaker that might leave the Griffins needing a wild-card entry to get into the playoffs. Marina will qualify for the playoffs even with a loss.
