Ice Dogs Rally Behind Thomas, 3-1

Scott Thomas scored two goals Friday night to help the Long Beach Ice Dogs to a 3-1 International Hockey League victory over the Chicago Wolves before a crowd of 3,119 at the Long Beach Arena.
Ice Dog goaltender Marcel Cousineau stopped 25 of 26 shots, holding the Wolves scoreless after Chicago took a 1-0 lead at 4:33 of the second period.
Thomas pulled the Ice Dogs even at 7:57 of the second period with his eighth goal of the season, then scored again at 3:31 of the third.
Pavel Rosa added a goal with 6:11 to play, beating Chicago goaltender Andrei Trefilov, who faced 24 shots on goal in the last two periods.
The teams play again tonight at Long Beach.
