Anna Mary Allen, a retired leather worker, died Monday in Simi Valley. She was 84.
She was born Anna Knapp on June 21, 1915, in Chicopee, Mass., where she attended school and grew up.
In 1940, she married Edward B. Allen, and they raised their family in Chicopee.
She worked for Buxton Inc. as a skiver, a processor who cuts leather.
Her daughter, Geraldine Parizo of Thousand Oaks, said her mother loved to garden and take care of her house, and especially enjoyed growing flowers.
Allen moved to Thousand Oaks a little more than a year ago to be closer to her daughter.
In addition to her daughter, she is survived by four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 31 years and their daughter Joanne Allen.
Services will be held Saturday in Massachusetts.
Arrangements are under the direction of Pierce Bros. Valley Oaks Mortuary, Westlake Village.
