Present at the Creation

I loved Susan King’s story about the USC film school (“USC Film School at 70: Reeling In the Years,” Sept. 29) and I am so pleased to have been mentioned by Dean Elizabeth Daley, but I would like to correct one error.
I was never the producer of “Cagney & Lacey.” I was (with my late writing partner Barbara Avedon) the co-creator, and I was the creative consultant for most of the time it was on. There were many writer-producers and line producers over the years, but the one person who was there throughout the six-season run, steering the show, was executive producer Barney Rosenzweig.
