When Paraclete and Kilpatrick meet on Nov. 5 at Antelope Valley College, they likely will decide the Alpha League championship, as well as the region’s individual rushing title.
While running backs De’Andre Scott of Alemany and Manuel White of Valencia get much of the attention, it’s Jermaine Marshall of Kilpatrick and Curtis Brown of Paraclete who lead area rushers.
Marshall, a senior, has run for 1,154 yards and 19 touchdowns, including two 300-yard games for the Mustangs (3-1).
Brown, a sophomore, has rushed for 956 yards and nine touchdowns for the Spirits (2-3), two-time defending section champions. He gained 372 yards last week against Bakersfield Garces.
