Recorded Call

Re “Trial Opens for Woman in Death of Boyfriend,” Oct. 21:
How convenient it is that a police officer just happened to have Christina White’s cell phone call “break through” on his police scanner and was able to record it. Silly me, I was under the impression that it took a sworn statement by police of probable cause and a judge to sign a court order to monitor and tape a private phone conversation. I guess the 4th Amendment does not mean what it says. Cell phone callers beware, you never know who may be listening to your calls.
