Canyon 19, Camarillo 14--Julio DeLeon scored on a one-yard run with 3:33 left to play, giving Jack Bowman a victory in his coaching debut at Canyon.
The Cowboys, who squandered a 13-0 lead, trailed, 14-13, midway through the fourth quarter when they put together a nine-play, 53-yard scoring drive.
Canyon scored twice in the first half on a one-yard run by Casey Gordon and a three-yard run by Jimmy Perry. Camarillo’s Loren Cerny scored on runs of 26 and four yards to erase the deficit.
Cerny finished with 155 yards in 22 carries.
