The Buena Park Coordinating Council is in need of donations including canned goods, juice, diapers, cold cuts, clothes (including uniforms), shoes and money.
The council provides homeless, senior and low-income people in Buena Park with needed items. Residents from other cities can use the food bank one time only. Roughly 30 people a day come in to the center seeking food, says Concha DeLaCruz, director of the food bank. She adds that the council also needs volunteers ages 16 and up.
The center is open on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The address is 6871 Beach Blvd. Information: (714) 521-3772.
