WEST HOLLYWOOD — Action movie star Jean Claude Van Damme was booked on suspicion of drunk driving early Thursday and held for more than four hours, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
Van Damme, 39, was seen driving erratically at 3:40 a.m. in the 8700 block of Sunset Boulevard, Sgt. George Ducoulombier said. Two passengers in the car were not arrested.
Arraignment for Van Damme was set for Nov. 20 in Beverly Hills court.
The Belgian actor has appeared in dozens of action films, the most recent one being “Universal Soldier: The Return.”
