Condo Owners Settle Lawsuit Over Defects
Lawyers for the Summit Court Homeowners Assn., representing a 243-unit condominium complex in Anaheim, said Monday that the complex has agreed to a $3.75-million settlement of a construction defects lawsuit filed against bankrupt Baldwin Building Contractors.
The settlement, which the lawyers said was put on record Monday in Orange County Superior Court, covers defects such as roof leaks that allegedly cropped up after the complex was completed in 1995, the year Baldwin went bankrupt.
Lawyers for Baldwin’s insurance companies couldn’t be reached for comment.
