Los Angeles-based Lowe Enterprises and Santa Monica-based Watt Commercial Properties have launched a firm called TenantConnect to provide telephone, high-speed Internet access, Web page design and other services for building owners and tenants.
The companies said their venture has wired and is providing service to about 2 million square feet of buildings in their own portfolios and has signed a contract to provide communications services for Arden Realty’s 70-acre Howard Hughes Center in West Los Angeles. They estimated that TenantConnect will have 30 million square feet of additional office space wired by year’s end.
TenantConnect is headed by Chief Executive Stephen Gray. It is one of a number of ventures launched in recent years to capitalize on the rapidly growing demand for telecommunications services by offices.
