Police were searching Monday for a suspect in the fatal shooting of a 56-year-old man in front of his home, officials said.
Liborio Medina of Pacoima was shot about 10:30 p.m. Sunday outside his residence in the 11200 block of El Dorado Street, said Det. Frank Bishop of the Los Angeles Police Department’s Foothill station.
Bishop said Molina was standing in the street when he was shot once in the chest. A son of the victim heard the shots and called police.
Officers arrived shortly after 10:30 p.m. and found Molina lying in the street. Paramedics pronounced Molina dead at the scene.
“There was no evidence of a struggle,” Bishop said. “He was not robbed; it’s strange.”
Detectives spent Monday searching for witnesses and a motive.
