Six Ventura County towing contractors are among 44 in Southern California who have received a Service Pro Award from the Automobile Club of Southern California.
Airport Chevron in Oxnard has won the award both years it has been given out, as have Bob Carlson Automotive & Towing in Ventura, Gene’s Towing Service in Thousand Oaks, Roy’s Towing in Newbury Park, and Sierra Towing & Transport Co. in Westlake Village.
Receiving the award for the first time was Eddie’s Towing in Newbury Park.
The award honors contractors who met performance standards every business quarter during 1999. The recipients represent the top 10% of all stations in a network of more than 300 contractors that provide 24-hour towing and roadside assistance for Auto Club members throughout Southern California.
Service Pro honorees are rated according to call response time, number of complaints and member satisfaction.
The Auto Club provides towing and roadside assistance to its members in 13 Southern California counties.
In addition to towing, roadside assistance services include mechanical first aid, tire changing, jump-start, fuel delivery, lock-out and locksmith.
