MIAMI — Residents of Stiltsville, a group of aging houses propped on poles inside Biscayne National Park, will remain in their homes a little longer.
U.S. District Judge Michael Moore granted a temporary restraining order preventing Biscayne National Park from its planned eviction. Moore will hold a hearing Dec. 18 to decide the fate of the seven historic homes in Biscayne Bay.
Park officials want to convert the cottages into park structures for the public’s use.
