The march through the record books continues not only for Ebell, but also junior running backs Curtis Brown of Paraclete and Lorenzo Booker of St. Bonaventure.
Brown, who has rushed for 1,699 yards this season, has 5,440 yards rushing for his three-year career, which places him eighth among players from the region.
Booker has 2,740 yards rushing this season to move him to fifth among players from the region and ninth in the Southern Section. His two-year career total of 5,180 moves him to No. 10 among region rushers.
The two could catch Ebell’s career rushing mark. If they do, they’ll probably move to the top of the state career rushing list. Ebell is 149 yards from the state record held by Moreno Valley Valley View’s David Dotson, who had 7,257 yards rushing. Ebell is third, 67 yards behind Michael Jones of Laguna Hills.
