A new member will take a seat on the Santa Ana Unified School District Board of Trustees on Tuesday. Sal Tinajero, a former middle school teacher in the district who was raised in Santa Ana, was the top vote-getter in last month’s election. Tinajero, who replaces former board member Audrey Yamagata-Noji, will be sworn in along with Nativo Lopez and Rosemarie Avila, who won reelection.
Agenda items include the appointment of architects for new high school construction and expansion. The meeting will begin at 7 p.m. in the district board room at 1601 Chestnut Ave. Information: (714) 558-5555.
