Pick of the Week
Noon Sunday
Because the nine-member Wu-Tang Clan, which exploded onto the hip-hop scene in 1993, is more a collective than a band, with each member involved in his own projects, a performance of the entire group is a rarity. But that’s what happened, almost, in August at the House of Blues on the Sunset Strip.
With the exception of Ol’ Dirty Bastard, who was in the midst of legal troubles, all the members of the Staten Island, N.Y., group were on stage for a performance that featured each rapper individually. But more important, it showed how powerful Wu-Tang Clan can be as a whole. See a tape of the show Sunday at noon. https://www.hob.com/live/events.
