An Orange County Superior Court judge pleaded guilty Friday to drunk driving, five months after he rear-ended a motorist while driving with a blood-alcohol level more than twice the legal limit.
Gary P. Ryan,56, is assigned to the Family Law Court but is not seeking reelection.
Los Angeles Superior Court Commissioner Norman Tarle sentenced Ryan to three years informal probation and fined him $390, plus penalty assessments.
Tarle also ordered Ryan to attend a three-month alcohol program, perform 20 hours of community service and pay restitution to the victim of the fender-bender.
