El Camino Real 2, Cleveland 1--Yan Falkinstein scored on a rebound in the 78th minute in a West Valley League game at El Camino Real (15-4-4, 5-2-0).
Birmingham 4, Taft 0--Jaime Gomez scored his 11th goal in a West Valley League game at Birmingham (15-4-2, 7-0-1), ranked No. 1 in region by The Times.
Thousand Oaks 3, Westlake 1-- Chris Jack and Danny Ermolovich scored second half goals to lift Thousand Oaks (15-3-3, 9-1) in a Marmonte League game.
GIRLS’ SOCCER
Canyon 1, Hart 0--Vicky Duffy scored in the 75th minute on a cross from Deena Plach for Canyon (17-5-2, 6-2-1) in a Foothill League game at Hart (10-5-1, 8-1).
La Reina 5, Bishop Diego 1--Monica Thompson had two goals in a Tri-Valley League game at La Reina (10-4-1, 6-2-0).
GIRLS’ WATER POLO
Agoura 14, Royal 2--Colleen Schiman and Dede Perram each scored four goals, giving Agoura (17-6, 7-0) the Marmonte League title.
COLLEGE BASEBALL
Pierce 11, Canada 5--Josh Miranda had three hits and three runs batted in, and Toby Herre had two hits and three RBIs for the Brahmas (1-0) in a first-round game of the Palomar tournament.
Valley 7, Porterville 5--Steve Kracow had four hits, including a three-run home run, for the Monarchs (2-0) in the Bakersfield tournament. Valley also defeated Santa Barbara, 12-7.
Harbor 5, Glendale 4--Steve Ramsey’s solo home run in the bottom of the ninth lifted Harbor (1-0) over Glendale (0-1) in the South Coast tournament.
East L.A. 6, Canyons 5--Eric Ballew hit a solo home run in the top of the ninth to tie the score, 4-4, for Canyons (0-1) but East L.A. scored twice in the 10th to win the South Coast tournament game.
